Día Cuatro

Fish is swimming around, looks like shrimp is just waking up. He's on chill in on the rocks. The smallest snail is turned over on his shell, seems to be dead. The baby snail however is slowly making his way up the side of the terrarium. It seems like the water level has also decreased and more string seems to be exposed between the surface of the water and the soil.

Things up top are looking good. All three plants are a beautiful bright green and one has hit his head on the roof of the terrarium. The other two are making their way up. I see two bean pod skins have been shed on the oil floor and still more condensation has formed on the walls of the terrarium.

Third Observation

¡Las 3 plantas finalmente están creciendo! Plant A (Shawty) is about ¾ of an inch from the soil. Plant B (Bee-Bee) esta en segundo lugar mesuring about 3 inches from the soil. Lastly, Plant C (Cutie) is not so cute, but she is the tallest at 6 inches from the soil. The water is quenching their thirst and they seem to be pretty feliz. That  condensation is the real MVP; providing oxygen. Another small fellow is also enjoying life to the fullest; our little suspect (the guppy). He is not talking to the ghost shrimp. We hope that one day they’ll become best friends. For now, the little guppy sigue comiendo, causing him to gain a few grams. We’ll see if that affects the weight of our terrarium. ¿Tú que piensas? Bueno pues, our weight went down to 1,153.9 grams. Lastly, the little caracoles keep creppin’ up the 1st tier. Todos siguen viviendo la vida loca.
That growth tho'!

Día dos

BREAKING NEWS!

Half of a shrimp tail was found floating along the bottom of our aquatic section of our terrarium. Our bigger ghost shrimp, has LITERALLY turned into a ghost. However, the smaller ghost shrimp is alive and well, along with our snail (who is slowly making his way up the side of the terrarium). In other aquatic life news, we have our guppie swimming in circles around the algae (which seems to be the same size). We have probable cause to believe that the guppie has somehow killed the shrimp. I mean, the guppie has gotten a litter rounder around the edges... and has turned a little pink/orang-y.

Not growing... necesita más leche
¿Sospechoso 2 en la muerte del shrimp?

P.S We hypothesize that the current weight (1,556 g) will stay the same because although the soil is absorbing water, the cycle of water is a repeated behavior inside a closed system. The water will evaporate, condensate and go back into the soil as precipitation.
